Day 2

The day started at 8:00 am :

• I feed all 4 horses by myself
• After letting them eat for about an hour
• My trainer and I moved all the jumps to the out door school
• While she set up the jumps, I got Henny out of his stall, mucked out his stall , I quartered ( basic cleaning taking only 10-15 mins.) Henny, and put all of his jumping tack on !
• I had a wonderful jumping lesson , Henny has came a long was, we did the whole thing in canter after warming up of course. 
• After the lesson, i showered off Henny and put him outside.
• My trainer got out Ransome and worked him on the lunge, while she was doing that I mucked out his stall.
• After she was done, i showered him off and let him out side.

At around noon :

• We took the other two for a hour long trail ride in Strawtown.
• When we got back, By myself I  showered both of them off and let them out, then mucked out there stalls and cleaned the barn out !

At around 6:00 pm :

• We brought the horses in and I feed them all !

Night Chack was around 9:00 pm :

• Again by myself, I cleaned all there stalls and water and gave them fesh hay !

Tomorrow I will only be doing morning feed, mucking out and letting them outside , then i will go home for my day off , i will be back Thursday evening , do night chack and start my day up on Firday morning !!

Started next week , I will be doing everything on my own , and still getting a lesson on Henny everyday !

Day 1

starting at 7:30 am :

• feed at 4 horses
• let horses outside
• cleaned stalls
• filled water buckets
• filled hay bags

After that was all finshed we went to Foxton Farms to set up for the Dressage Show , that will be this weekend !

When we got back to the barn :

• let in Henny and Ransome and we rode them for about 20 min , then took them for a short walk around the farm
• showerd them off and let them back outside
• let in Roman and Ramona and we rode them outside for about 30 min , themn took them for a walk down the street
• showerd them off and put them in there stalls
• let the other two boys in
• feed everyone
• cleaned tack

After that , went to a movie and dinner !

Back at the barn :

• Night check- water , hay, clean stalls

and goodnight horses , maybe going for a trail ride in strawtown tomorrow (:

Night 1

I'm here !!! Henny is all tucked in for the night ! All we did today was feed, let in horses, hay , fix a fence , sweep the barn and turn off the lights for the night (: Tomorrow we have a busy day, that will start at 7 in the morning ! Goodnight !

Summer 2011 -Working Student

I'm 17 years old and I have a 15 year old thoroughbred named Hennessy. Henny and I will be going together to our trainers house for the summer. I will be a working student, I will be cleaning stalls, feeding, turning out,  and riding her horses plus get daily lessons on Henny. Hennessy and I love to event, he has been doing it a little long then me but I am learning fast and love it (: My first day as a working student will be May 30, 2011. I will be posting daily to keep track of our progress. I am looking forword to a summer of fun and learning!
